What is a flower shop called?

A flower shop is called a florist.  The name florist can also be ascribed to a person that sells and arranges flowers either in vases or as flower bouquets.  

The art of arranging and selling flowers is known as floristry or floral design.

While there are many websites online that will sell you flowers, including FTD and Teleflora, these are NOT actual florists.  They DO NOT sell or arrange flowers.  They are instead order gathers that farm out your flower order to a local florist that pays to be in their network.
